My name is Amy Williams, and I am a transplant from Cheyenne, Oklahoma, in the far western part of the state. I will be the Alternative Education Director and am looking forward to meeting my students.

I graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State with my bachelors degree and East Central University with my Masters in Educational Leadership. I am starting my 18th year in education and look forward to being at Coalgate Schools.

My main emphasis in education has been JH/HS English with a sprinkling of Business Technology, JH/HS Social Studies, and four years as a JH/HS Principal. I also worked for two years in an evening alternative education program. For the past nine summers I have worked for the Upward Bound Program at Seminole State University.

My husband, Josh, and I live between Stuart and Coalgate. He teaches and coaches at Stuart, and our son attends school at Stuart.  We have three older children who have all graduated from OSU, two wonderful daughters-in-law, and three precious grand babies.

I enjoy reading, chasing my son’s baseball schedule, and spending time with the grand babies.

I am looking forward to the new year and am very excited to be at Coalgate.
