Hello, Coalgate Schools and Community, my name is Angela Hughes, and I am your new High School Principal. My hometown is Pauls Valley, OK, where I graduated high school. I received my bachelor's and master's degrees from East Central University in Ada, OK. I have been an Oklahoma educator since 1991 and loved every minute of it!. I spent the majority of my career as a middle school teacher and have instructed Math, Science, and Social Studies. For approximately 8 years, I worked in Adult Education instructing GED Courses and ESL/Family Literacy, and Work-Based Learning Classes. Most recently, I have served the past 5 years as HS/MS Principal, Technology/E-Rate Director, and JOM Coordinator for Elmore City-Pernell School District. I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing, kayaking, and reading. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to be a part of Coalgate Schools.
